Minimum Roof Pitch
For roofs with continuous sheets and no end laps the minimum roof pitch is 3°(1 in 20). To prevent ponding from occurring this minimum pitch must be adhered to at all points of the roof. For roofs with end laps the minimum lap is 200mm for pitches between 3° and 15° and 150mm above 15°. For walls allow maximum end laps of 100mm. Prior to fixing, turn topend of sheet up and gutter ends down using the tool available.
Location of Fasteners at Supports
Insuldeck® may be fastened to timber or steel supports by conventional crest fixing, There should be 5 fixings per sheet at ends and end laps and 3 fixings per sheet at intermediate supports. Always face side laps away from prevailing weather.
Fixing Fastener Location

Fixing
Timber: Type 17 14 - 10 x 75mm Hexagon Heads with Neoprene Washer
Steel: Type 12 -14 x 68mm Hi Grip Hexagon Heads with Neoprene Washer
Side Lap Fixing
Side lap fixing may be necessary to maintain a weather proof seal and secure the overlap especially when the roof is walked on occasionally. This is best done with either 8 x 12 mm self drill stitching screws or a 3mm blind rivet (rivets should be sealed to prevent penetration). Maximum spacing of side lap fasteners should be 900mm for roof sheeting and 1200mm for wall sheeting. When walking on roofing ensure weight is distributed in pan only over purlin.
Installation
Care should be taken not to overtighten roofing or walling screws as this may deform the sides of the ribs. Over t ightening can also damage seals on roof screws creating a potential for leaks to occur. To avoid these problems set screw gun tensions correctly and regularly review the work as it progresses.
